Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is a method to deliver TV over the Internet. There are many paid IPTV providers out there, but this page is dedicated to free, legal programming... I don't want to get in trouble, and you shouldn't want to get in trouble!

At the moment, I'm going to focus on Kodi, as I use it and know more about it than other platforms. I should be able to add guidance for VLC as well. I'm open to helping with other clients, if they're something I can freely download and play with.

For Kodi (both on a computer and on a Fire device) I started with this guide. It was very helpful, but the playlists it pointed me to (https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/countries/us.m3u) has some issues, like hundreds of channels that don't work, and they aren't sorted out very well. So my first project was to try to categorize as many channels as possible, as weeding out non-working channels in https://iptv.arpnic.net/us.m3u

If you use that playlist and see any issues... channels that don't work, are in the wrong category, etc. please let me know at iptv@arpnic.net If you use the playlist remotely (via the URL above), you'll always have the most recent version by restarting your IPTV client. You're also free to copy it and use it locally, but you'll need to re-do that to get the latest version.

I want to figure out how to make the program guide work, too. And I'm sure there are clients that can act as recorders, and I'd like to add easy instructions to do that! I'm also planning on looking for any free video on demand (VOD) channels, too. Again... I'm open to questions, ideas, pointers to additional sources of free, legal content, etc. And I'll try my best to help, but this is a learning experience for me, too!

There are several apps to get free TV. It's a pain to have to use a bunch of different apps, but until I can figure out how to combine them into one view...
